Ecommerce Website Audit
As a performance focused ecommerce web design agency, we believe knowledge is power. Before we began drafting designs and concepts for Doisy & Dam’s new website, we conducted a full website audit of the brand's old website. A full audit allowed us to understand where they were loosing customers the most, discover their main traffic sources and provide an opportunity to scrap what wasn't work whilst focusing on what does. We used this data to construct an improve the sitemap, user-journey and overal ecommerce experience.
Reduced Clicks To Checkout
We found the brand had an average of 4 clicks to checkout previously and we know statistically fewer clicks equates to higher sales. We dramatically cut the number of clicks to checkout by half - just 2 clicks to reach payment pages. A website visitor can simply press add to cart on the homepage and a real-time cart will appear without the page reloading featuring a clear checkout button. We achieved this using technology called AJAX - this allows us to communicate with a server without interupting the user's experience. Clever technology that delivers a streamlined and easy ecommerce sales journey.
Personalised Shopping Experience

We helped Doisy & Dam go even further to develop a website that personalises the content based on historical data. Across the website, users will receive recommended products bespoke to their previous viewing data, previous order data and overal product popularity. We really feel this helped improved the conversion-rate as it allows users to be presented with products they are most likely to be interested in.
Diverse Website Content
Although every page of the ecommerce website has a key agenda, we argue it's incredibly important to diversify pages with snapshots of information to direct users to other parts of the website. For example, we incorporated recommended products into their "story" page to seamlessly direct traffic to sales pages once they've finished learning about the brand. Not only does this provide a great user experience, but a great internal-linking strategy works wonders for your search engine optimisation (SEO).
Real-time Suggestive Search
Website search can be an incredibly powerful tool however is often overlooked. We utilised the power of search to not only deliver results users are likely to be looking for but to also suggest extra engaging content too. When a user begins typing on Doisy & Dam's website they'll instantly receive suggested search terms, products with images and also related recipes and blogs. Not only does it immediately display products to promote sales but keeps them interested with exciting information too.
